Internal Medicine
Our internal medicine veterinarians have specialist training with the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine and the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists. They are available for the investigation of complicated or difficult internal medicine problems including acute and chronic colic, weight loss, diarrhoea, poor performance, neurological disease (diseases affecting the nervous system), sick foals, respiratory disease, heart problems, skin disorders, eye disorders, endocrine disease (hormonal and metabolic diseases), and blood disorders such as anaemia.
The clinical pathology laboratory provides a wide range of blood tests and the internal medicine veterinarians are experienced in obtaining the appropriate samples using special diagnostic techniques as well as with the interpretation of these and many other diagnostic tests.
